Rick Smith CEO of Securus Technologies has an outstanding resume. Because of his life long career in technology he has been able to make Securus Technologies what it is today. He started his career with Global Crossing North America from 1972 to 1998 where his roles included Chief Information Officer and Controller. He was also the President of Frontier Information Technologies. In 1998 moving on to be the Chief Financial Officer of Eschelon Telecom, Inc., in which he grew the revenue from $30 million to over $350 million, which led Eschelon Telecom, Inc, to a profitable Initial Public Offering in 2005.

In 2008, Rick assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Securus Technologies. Since then he has dedicated his efforts into assuring that every inmate has the opportunity to have a call from their family members on a daily basis. Rick Smith Securus oversees the day to day operations of the company and has an active role in the development of Securus Technologies expansion plans.
